Parent Community
Parent Community is WPRP’s local engagement platform for widowed parents seeking connection, encouragement, and trusted support close to home.

Connection Close To Home
Parent Community helps widowed families build meaningful local connections through gatherings, trusted referrals and resources, and shared experiences with people who understand.
Through local partnerships and community support, families can build lasting relationships, discover trusted local resources, and experience support closer to home.
Families can participate in social gatherings, access practical resources, receive volunteer support, and connect with other widowed parents within their local community.
Designed for parents who want local connection, community, and trusted resources without the need for a dedicated Family Friend relationship or additional structured support.

Access and Participation
Parent Community is available through Parent Connect when a local WPRP community is active in your area. Parents may request access and complete a short onboarding process before joining.
Participation is flexible. Some parents attend events regularly, others engage occasionally, and some step back as needed. Families are welcome to participate in the way that feels right for them.
